Kaimana Klassik 2000
The 13th Annual Kaimana Klassik Ultimate Tournament
"The Dawn of a New Age of Ultimate"

As Tournament Director, it is my pleasure to say….Alooohaaa!!! E komo mai (welcome) to the Kaimana 2000 home page. The ultimate ohana (family) in Hawaii has been busy preparing for our 13th annual Kaimana Klassik Tournament. If you’ve ever been to the Kaimana, you know what to expect. We hope and plan to live up to your expectations. If you haven’t been, you are in for an Ultimate treat.

The tournament will be a three day affair. Pool play will be held on Saturday and Sunday, with elimination rounds (quarters, semis, and finals) being played on Monday. However, the fun, frivolity, festivities, and indulgence will commence on Friday night and continue through the weekend. We have lined up the finest (well, the finest we could afford) caterers, bands, entertainers, beverages, sleeping arrangements, beaches, fields, and outhouses that you could possibly ask for (because even if you asked for more, this is all we can afford).

The Kaimana Klassik Team (organizational staff), presented in the "organizational chart" below, has emphasized Spirit of the Game, geographic representation, size of roster, and anticipated level of play in selecting the teams for this years gala event. We have open division teams representing Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, the U.S. East and West Coasts, the U.S. southeast, the U.S. southwest, the U.S. Mountain Region, Australia, Vancouver British Columbia, Berlin, and Asia!!! Women’s Division representation includes Hawaii, U.S. West Coast, U.S. Southeast, U.S. East Coast, U.S. Mountain Region, Australia, and Japan!!! All teams have committed to bringing large squads of incredibly spirited players that love to play and party hard!!!!

It’s not easy selecting the teams to participate in this tournament, especially in the Open Division. We wish we could include everyone, but we obviously cannot. A big Mahalo (thank you) to all who showed an interest/submitted a bid and, if your team wasn’t selected, please try again. Kaimana 14 is not that far away.

Here’s to seeing you in Waimanalo on February 18, 2000.
