Camping
We have camping for Friday, Saturday, Sunday &
Monday night. *There is no camping on Wednesday or Thursday nights prior to the
tournament!
Campsites will be provided across the street from the ultimate fields
(Waimanalo Polo Club). All 10 campsites are reserved for us at Waimanalo Bay
Beach Park. The entrance is practically directly across the street from the
fields, but the walk to and from the campsites is approximately 10 minutes. Gates
for vehicular traffic close at 7:00 p.m., although access by foot is never
limited.
Additional campsites are reserved at Bellows Beach
Park, inside the Bellows Airforce Base. The entrance to Bellows is ~ 1 mile
North of the Polo Fields, on the ocean-side of the road. We have campsites 8,
9, 10, 14, 15, and 20 reserved at Bellows Beach Park. These sites are
oceanside, on the far side of the first restroom. Access to these sites is from
the second or third “driveway” off of Tinker Road, but it's ~1 mile drive from
the highway before you get to the campsites. *The road to Bellows does not
close, so late arrivals on Friday night may choose to camp at Bellows.*
For all campsites, tents must be in the designated camp area or you will be
asked to move by camp security (definitely not worth the hassle). Both
campsites have "basic" bathrooms (generally with T.P. but not with
soap and paper towels) and cold water showers. Fires are only permitted in fire
pits. Security is strict about its fire policy (definitely not worth the
hassle). Bring rain gear and weather-proof tents. Nighttime weather can be cool
(low 60’s). DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES AT THE CAMP SITES!!! While we do hire a
security guard, Hawaii does have some greedy, unfriendly souls who prey on easy
targets.
