Map and Directions

Directions to Laupahoehoe (Friday night):

From the airport, take the airport road to the first traffic light. At the light take a right onto Kalanianaole Avenue (Highway 11). At the next light, by Ken's House of Pancakes, turn left onto Kamehameha Avenue. Go through the next light. At the following light, turn right to get onto Highway 19 toward the Hamakua Coast and proceed 25 miles to Laupahoehoe.

On the way to Laupahoehoe you will cross two major gulches. The first will be Maulua Gulch and the second will be Laupahoehoe Gulch. You will recognize that you are crossing a major gulch because the road will sweep left into the gulch, curve right 180 degrees around the gulch, and then sweep left out of the gulch.

Shortly after you cross Laupahoehoe Gulch, there will be a sign on the highway pointing to “Laupahoehoe Point.” Take this right (it’s rather sharp) and follow it all the way down. Registration/Dinner/Party/Night Ultimate will be at the end of this narrow road.
